Gendercide Awareness Project salutes mothers who help other mothers pull out of deep-rooted poverty. Hands in Outreach has 65 women, like Rama Devkot –– teaching assistant/mentor, in its literacy + numeracy + small business program for mothers. As the mothers learn, they share a new sense of self-esteem and independence with their daughters, who also are being educated by HIO.

These mothers and daughters build better lives for themselves and their families. Gendercide Awareness Project proudly supports the literacy + numeracy program for mothers.  We have high hopes and expectations as some launch their micro-enterprises in the New Year!
